A Very Nice, Small Beach Hotel
The hotel is small (less than ten rooms) but has a very nice kitchen; we had excellent food every time! The food, view, and charm of the owners are its strongest point. It is on a nearby beach (Las Pocitas), a bit away from the honky-tonk down-town Mancora but not so far that a Mototaxi (4 Soles) cannot have you there in five minutes. The service is better than that of most Mancora establishments, but a bit slow. (The Mancora tourism industry is very new, and many service staff are rural campesinos only learning their roles.) While Mancora's downtown beach is nice and sandy, the beach at the hotel has large rocks protruding in the sand, thus making entrance to the water difficult. We swam at the downtown beach, but the other hotel residents seemed little interested in the beach water, preferring the pool or sunning themselves. Overall, we were delighted at our choice and would choose the Hotelier Arte y Casino if we visited Mancora again.

Beautiful experience !
Warm wonderful staff, the owners are extremely intelligent and experienced in travel, art and gourmet cuisine. With 24 hour security, we never felt our safety was jeapordized. The natural beauty will be in our thoughts forever :)

nice hotel on the beach
nice hotel with friendly staff. The beach right in front is sandy, but at low tide, you see the rocks that you need to avoid. The pool is not large, but clean and a nice temperature. The room was spacious and comfortable, though the jacuzzi was a bit awkward for 2 people. Included breakfast is tasty, with eggs, fresh juices, and bread/butter/jam. You can walk to Mancora town on the beach (10-15 minutes), or the local moto-taxis (like a motorized rickshaw) will take you for 5 soles. Food is much cheaper in town, but not as gourmet.

True Craig, we have cleaned part of the beach of stones for a 10 meter open corridor...and also bought kayaks for a ride!

Nice relaxing hotel that's also good value.
Comfortable room, fantastic food, friendly staff, 15min walk from restaurants and bars, which means that it's nice and quiet at night.

Nice Hotel, not enough good service
The hotel is really nice, it is located in front of the sea. The rooms are clean and have all the necessaty in the bathrooms. The staff is not that good, I mean for the price you pay per person per night, I expected to be totally satisfied. There is not a receptionist, so early in the morning or after 10 PM you cant found anybody to help you with the tv or other things. In addition, the schedule for breakfast starts to late...at 8:30 A.M. I made a complaint with a waitress about the meal my father received, but she only saw at the dish and said nothing, not even "i´m sorry". They didn´t solve any problem we had. Only the manager was more proactive. The breakfast is the same everyday, for a hotel that is in the coast, only eggs and fruit juice is not fair. I went to this hotel because it was mentioned that the restaurant was one of the best in Mancora. However, it is no not true and the prices are really high. Going to a all included hotel would be more convenient.

Hi Victoria...try to go to all-inclusive hotels in the area and the only one is Decameron. Youll be mad about them! As the manager-owner almost everybody loves the restaurant...something happened in your stay. For breakfast we never put fish, its a classic breakfast, you can lunch almost every sea product of the area...after 1 pm. High prices? Nope...sorry. Lowest dish: 2 dollars, highest price: 11 dollars. Wine for less than 12$..to be true !

One of the nicest hotels in Mancora
Mancora hotels tend to be pretty basic, but this one pleasently surprised me. The food was top notch, the staff always so friendly, and the room with a perfect view and a big balcony, all I could wish for.

Good location, very comfortable room
Large comfortable room in a safe secure area. Hotel room had a leaky boiler and some peeling paint on wall so could do with a little routine maintenance but this did not detract from the great view and overall comfort of the room. I liked that you had a sun bed chair and hammock to choose from for relaxing on the balcony. Restaurant very good however we would have appreciated a better breakfast for the price we were paying for the room. That said you can have as much coffee tea and bread as you want.

Disappointing
I think the hotel's location is great, right on the beach, however that goes just so far, can't swim in the ocean, too many rocks, and the pool is tiny. Food supposedly is cooked under the auspices of a chef, (Teresa something?) but in fact the options are limited, presentation is lacking and the taste just not up to standards of Peruvian cooking. The staff is willing and helpful, but not trained properly and lacks management. I should say this appears to be typical of Mancora hotels these days.

'Peaceful place with the most tasty cuisine
We arrived to the hotel on Monday morning. No problem with the early check-in. We have got the room on the ground floor. There are only 8 rooms, all with the view to the ocean. Beautiful view and sound. The ocean is 30m away, you can see it from the room, from the little pool located in front and from the restaurant that serves really great peruvian cuisine based on recipes of one of the best peruvian chefs - owner's mother. The owner is very nice guy, artistic personality, very helpful. We were in Hotelier during 4 days November 2012, not in the season peak, so there was not many people. The beach was just for two of us. It was great!

Great Hotel in Mancora
We were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful our stay at Hotelier was. We were there for one night in late August. My husband and I arrived to Mancora via bus and walked along the beach (mid-day) to Hotelier. It took about 25 minutes at a leisurely pace. We were greeted by the most laid back and chill owner. Our room was beautiful (I did not expect a king bed and pristine bathroom) and there was more than enough space. The TV and Direct TV worked great. We were on the first floor with a beautiful beach view (all rooms have beach views). The food was EXCELLENT as were the drinks. Tony, our server, was spectacular all day long as we lounged and ordered sporadically. There really was no need to leave the hotel. Wish we had stayed another night..or 5! I've been to Mancora twice before and stayed at 2 other hotels in Las Pocitas. Hotelier definitely left the most lasting impression. And you can't beat the price. Very satisfied.

DO NOT GO PAST THIS PLACE!
This would have to be the ultimate place to rest, get spoilt and enjoy yourself in a private and secure place. Your hosts Jorge & Paula couldn't be more friendly or helpful. Nothing is a problem. If Jorge is cooking then it is a must to eat in. This guy can cook and if your lucky like me he might bring out the Pisco and he'll give you some cooking lessons. Especially the cervichi dish. Make him do the dish in front of you. My 4 nights there was the best after 6 different countries & a dozen hotels. This one is takes the cake. Cheers

Mancora's Best Place to Stay
Hotelier is a great hotel. Oceanfront rooms nicely furnished including cable TV and free WiFi throughout. The restaurant is the best in Mancora. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. A nice 15-20 minute walk along the beach to the town, or quick mototaxi ride. My stay was so relaxing and wonderful.

Estimado Fernando, El desayuno que ofrecemos es tipo americano servido estilo buffet, el cual consiste en jugos naturales, panes y tostadas, mantequilla, mermeladas, café filtrado, tés variados, huevos revueltos y fruta fresca de estación. Si deseabas servirte algo diferente, como panqueques, humitas, o ¡hasta cebiche!, simplemente nos lo hubieses solicitado para facturarlo en tu cuenta de consumo. Y la recepción está abierta de 8 am. a 9 pm., pero antes o después de esas horas disponemos de personal que puede ayudarte con información o servicio de asistencia, mas no para facturación ni consumo de comidas o bebidas. Finalmente, lamentamos que no hayas comunicado tu malestar durante tu estadía para solucionar los inconvenientes al instánte y evitar esta errónea impresión de nuestro servicio. Muy buena ubicación y cómodo
Buen Hotel, frente a la playa, con desayuno liviano pero muy buen restaurante. Queda justo entre la Playa de Pocitos y la Playa de Mancora lo que hace que tenga una muy buena ubicación.

Hola Rubén....Seguro el dueño (yo) estuvo de viaje...pero aun asi entrenamos a nuestro personal siempre. César es el mas antiguo y confiable... Aqui la estrella es la naturaleza y el clima, tan alejados de la gran ciudad, es lo mejor que ofrecemos siempre.

Hotel direkt am Strand
Das Hotel befindet sich direkt am Strand, hat eine sehr gute Küche und entgegenkommendes und insgesamt hilfsbereites Personal. Die Zimmer sind großzügig und sauber.

Así se titula este hotel y es por lo que más se destaca. Si bien sus instalaciones son sencillas (como la mayoría de los hoteles de Máncora), su gran valor está en las cualidades culinarias del dueño. El restaurant que está en este hotel es de primera, los platos deliciosos y con productos frescos. Su dueño siempre tratando de agradar al huésped, hace que la estancia en este hotel sea inolvidable!!!

El hotel cumple con las expectativas, al llegar y verificar los precios te das con que el precio es elevado en relación a otros, posee un restaurante pero el precio también es elevado luego de compararlo con la oferta de platos que se ofrece en el pueblo, la playa frente al hotel te deja con moretones debido a las rocas, el personal es amable y la atención es buena. Resulta recomendable si te sobra algo de dinero.

Año nuevo frente a un mar azul
Excelente hotel ubicado frente a un hermoso mar azul. De estructura simple, ofrece las comodidades necesarias para relajarse disfrutando de una comida sabrosa y gourmet. Caminar por las playas cercanas es un paseo recomendable. El avistaje de aves y el descubrimiento de la fauna marina que se observa en las pocitas es una hermosa experiencia. Paola y Javier, sus dueños, tienen un trato acogedor, casi familiar. Todo el personal es muy amable, especialmente Cesar, quien estuvo en cada detalle de nuestras necesidades. Finalmente recomiendo la excursión al Santuario Nacional Manglares de Tumbes. Tome la misma por sugerencia de Javier. Una aventura inolvidable en la única muestra representativa de bosques de manglares en Perú. El recorrido en canoas y Kayak por el estero Zarumilla, durante tres horas, permite conocer el vallor de este ecosistema, su diversidad biológica y el modo de interacción de pequeñas poblaciones que realizan actividades extractivas controladas. Las explicaciones detalladas de Kobi, nuestro guia, dieron lugar al asombro a cada momento. Un viaje para recordar!!!

Un hotel para no volver
El hotel a primera vista parecio agradable, pero al ver que no tenia ninguna maravilla sino mas bien eran un hotel regular. Las habitaciones les faltaba limkpieza y las toallas esran muy viejas, ademas el mar tenia una rocas gigantescas que estaban de peligro de muerte si te bañabas sin darte cuenta de las mismas, ademas carisimo y de desayuno te dan pan con mantequilla.

Faltan detalles mínimos como: poner toallas de mano, shampoo, mejorar la calidad del jabón, preocuparse por reparar el control del TV, falta un espejo para damas ( que al menos se puedan mirar la mitad del cuerpo), incorporar una silla al menos en el balcón, mejorar la calidad del servicio a la habitación.
