"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. The back garden is lovely with a great area for entertaining, unfortunately it was freezing so we could not make use of it. We had a baby with us and the owner (sheila) had EVERYTHING...

"We had a first floor room in the annex the other side of the carpark, the weather was good but I wonder how annoying that would be during the rain. A desktop fan was provided which was needed due to the hot weather. The breakfast was good. The bar closed before 11pm on at least one night so I was having to walk to the off licence for a beer. Happy hour had 2 cocktails for the price of one."

"The hotel itself was fine and the staff were lovely. The continental breakfast choice restrictions were bizarre and unnecessary. For instance, getting a fruit dish, you had to pay extra for toast. A broader buffet would be more normal and less confusing. If you stay for one night, it means leaving with a far from great lasting memory."

"An enjoyable stay in this splendid building, only short walk from the beach and town centre. Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice room ('classic'). Only comments: bed was a double, rather than king size we are used to. If we'd been staying more than one night we might have regretted the lack of any draws.
