"My wife and I recently stayed the Leonardo hotel in Southampton before boarding a cruise ship and we can’t say enough about how well we were treated by the staff. The hotel was very busy, full in fact, yet the staff worked tirelessly to ensure that we were well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again."
"Decent hotel for a last minute night stop.
Dislike the self check in process. A member of staff was on hand but was constantly busy dealing with customers having difficulty.
Room was fine enough.
Compact but with 6ft bed. Bed was on the firm side as were pillows.
Bathroom has a good sized shower and was only room with a window.
Air conditioning was a bonus.
Lack of electrical sockets in room. There are USBa sockets by the bed but pretty useless when much tech has now moved on to USBc.
Would we stay again? Probably. Good value for a night."
"We spent a long day traveling to the hotel. 10 hours on the plane and 3 hours on bus, train and cab to get to the hotel. This hotel was near the cruise harbour and previous reviews said it was nice.
What very pleasant surprise when we entered the doorway to the Leonardo Grand Harbour.
The concierge greeted us with cheerful salutation and said let me take your baggage and he would make sure it gets to the room after we check in.
What a relief not to have to move it around any more.
As we were checking in the hotel staff handed us a refreshing cool drink.
When we checked in and received our keys, the concierge asked if we were going on one of the cruises. After we confirmed, he asked which cruise and what time and he would arrange for a taxi to pick us up and take us to the cruise ship in time for boarding.
Another task no longer needed to arrange. Quite nice.
We were tired so we ate at hotel and the food was excellent.
A very nice room.
We included breakfast at check-in. I will say the breakfast was excellent. A buffet with many tasty choices.
The concierge held our luggage after checkout and when the taxi arrived he helped the driver load the luggage.
The Hotel was top notch and the concierge was the highlight and made the stay memorable."
"It is very convenient, a few minutes walk to the biggest Westquay shopping mall, the gate and the walking street at Southampton.
Their breakfast starts at 6am, which is helpful for early leaving tenants."
"Nice stay for one night at this hotel partly due to an early hospital appointment and partly to take advantage of the aircon during a heatwave!
Rooms are compact but adequate with controllable aircon, comfortable beds and a good sized TV. As has been mentioned on other reviews bathrooms have a clear glass door which was fine as privacy is maintained due to the layout of the bathroom.
Location is good for the airport and hospital.
Parking is chargeable (£10/24 hours midweek) but is made reasonably clear when booking.
Lobby and restaurant were a bit too cool for me but self service check in was efficient with staff available to help. Restaurant had a good range of dishes and service was good."
