In summer, however, the air conditioner seems to focus more on making motivational noise than actually cooling the room. Just a small warning if you plan to visit during a heatwave — bring optimism and perhaps a handheld fan."

"Exceptional 3 star hotel, evening meal menu excellent value (3 courses £30) and the food was really very good. We drove with with a dog and there was no surcharges for car or pet. We could eat in the lounge area with the dog. Room was a good size and very comfortable and clean Staff were friendly and helpful We will definitely stay here again"

"Check in was unbelievably poor, staff attitude was abysmal. Arriving just after 8pm, I was told that the kitchen was closed so no food!! Room was an absolute disgrace, filthy with ripped wall paper, forks and a half eaten biscuit on the floor and a broken shelf in the bathroom. I was told that if I needed to leave before 07:30 the following day, I would need to use the fire escape at the back of the building!!"
