"The lodging was well maintained and fit our needs perfectly, including an elevator to the first floor for my husband with bad knees. Staff was attentive to any requests. Rooms were spacious and equipped with all our needs. Breakfast was substantial and beautifully presented. A perfect central locations to do day trips to 4 other northern Aldeias Historicas."

"Nice place in historic town. Room was large, clean, and bed was comfortable. Town is walkable, I walked from the bus stop. The hotel has a restaurant and the breakfast is nice, they set up a taxi service and they were nice. I did use cash in town and for the taxi which was appreciated. Everyone was so nice even though I didn't speak Portuguese."

"This is hands down one of the prettiest and coolest properties you can stay in, in rural Portugal. The property, room and pool and service was amazing, but the town itself situated in is also just one of the coolest experiences. So many handmade items included in your stay and available to purchase. The host is amazing, super friendly and laid back. The grounds were beautiful, unique and has so much character. We stayed here for a night after taking the train into Pochino and it was one of the highlights of our trips! Highly recommend!"

"This bnb is a gem in every way. The location in the historic district is perfect. You can walk everywhere. Car parking is very easy on the street. The bnb itself is stunning and comfortable. Our room was absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was like none other we have ever seen. The host was friendly and helpful, and her breakfast was remarkable! She couldn’t do enough to make sure that we had everything we needed or wanted. The property and backyard with a pool was beautiful! We highly recommend this bnb. "

"Room with private external bathroom in this historic home that was like a living museum. Excellent value for money. Large, spacious with everything we needed for a good overnight stay. We feel privileged to have been able to stay here. We were also able to make use of a washing machine in the basement. Walking the Camino Torres this was an added advantage to our trip. We left very early the next morning, so could not make use of the well located cafe across the road for breakfast, but could use the house's kitchen to prepare breakfast. The house was a bit musty smelling given the age, but not problematic. The bedroom had a slippery carpet. We accidentally locked ourselves out of our bathroom (mentioning as a caution to guests)."
