The hotel restaurant had the most amazing food. They have an incredible chef. We stayed there both before and after a food and wine tour of Provence. Our trip was filled with amazing food. The Marseille Holiday Inn and Express had food that rivaled the bes! We also thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the staff and management. They were kind and helpful with the language.

The shuttle service to and from the airport was very helpful and convenient. I had to make an extra round trip due to a problem with my flight and the shuttle was invaluable.

Excellent, clean hotel ideal for an overnight stay prior/after flight from Marseille airport. 20 min walk from airport (free shuttle available up to 11pm, no. 13 bus also available) & 10 min walk from Vitrolles Aéroport Marseille train station. Simple Breakfast included in the rate. Would use again.

Do not eat the Vegan Poke Bowl
Room was small, but manageable for one night. We ate dinner at the sister property across the street. My meal was fine, but my friend who got the Vegan Poke Bowl got food poisoning from it that night. We tried to advise the woman at checkout the next day, but her English was poor and she didn’t understand.

Overall this stay far exceeded our expectations. We were extremely weary after traveling for 17 hours. Excellent shuttle service, a warm greeting from reception, a clean quiet room, and a great breakfast offering. We have two more stays over the next month at this location as we transit through Marseille. So pleased we chose the HIE Marseille Airport.

No transport to get to hotel
There was no shuttle transport from the airport to the hotel after 11pm. Called hotel and they said I needed to get a taxi. None of the taxis wanted to take the fare because it was a short distance (1.6km). We were advised by hotel not to walk because it was too dangerous to walk on motorway. We had no other choice. No taxis available and Uber was not providing that service either. Hotel was unable to provide an alternative. Took the risk of walking with all the luggage across fields and busy motorways to get to hotel with many dodgy characters pulling up asking where we were going.

I arrived early to the property and was greeted by extremely nice people who work there. They gave me an early check in without even saying anything and I appreciated that so much. They were so nice to talk to. There is a lovely lady who was there. My room was really comfortable. The wifi worked well, bed was huge and so perfect. About 300-400m away there is a small grocery store, a shop for fruits and legumes, a tabac. That was super useful too. I bought some fruit and the hotel provided me with cutlery so I could eat in the room. The hotel offers a really convenient shuttle to and from the airport starting very early and ending late. My flight arrives late the next night from London and the hotel staff actually picked me up and they were not even grumpy! However- the dining options might be limited around the hotel. I am not sure as I didn’t really eat out. I was very comfortable and happy in this quiet hotel so close to the airport. It was super convenient and I had a lovely stay.
