"What a gem! We were pleasantly surprised with Park Point Marina. After a lackluster stay at the Radisson, we switched to here for our second night's stay in Duluth. Since we came in the winter, the prices were very reasonable, but even during peak season, Park Place is still worth what i assume are premium prices.
First impressions were that the resort has tons of character. It doesn't rely on huge open spaces like most hotels, but instead offers a cozy, very homely "up north" costal cabin vibe. There were plenty of comfy couches and booths in the common area for hanging out along with a fireplace and a gift shop with some cute swag.
The continental breakfast was probably one of the most impressive I've seen at a hotel with a full-blown waffle topping station, several mini waffle makers and plenty of savory options. They also offer hot lemongrass towels in the lobby, which was a nice touch.
The rooms themselves were very clean and surprisingly big. As with the lobby, the rooms maintained the same cozy, home-like vibe. We didn't get to experience much of the property outside, but it seemed like there was a lot of great outdoor & marine space, too, which is probably great in the summer. The warmer months is definitely where Park Point shines, but even in the winter, I highly recommend!"
"The desk attendant was very nice and helpful. They were very welcoming and personable. Our suite was very clean and the views were incredible! I was a little disappointed that the shower water didn’t get very hot and that the hot tub was not very hot either. Aside from those two things it was a great experience!"
