"The Royal Sonesta San Juan was absolutely beautiful and easily one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure guests have a great stay. The location is honestly hard to beat. You have direct beach access, so within minutes you can go from your room to having your feet in the sand. The beach is gorgeous, and the pool area is also really nice, especially with the swim-up bar for drinks and snacks while relaxing. The breakfast buffet is definitely worth adding on, especially if you’re traveling with kids or a big family. It stays open until 12 PM, which was a huge plus for us since we weren’t rushing to wake up early every day. There was a great variety of food with plenty of options for everyone. We booked through Expedia and got an amazing deal, which made the stay feel like an even better value. Valet parking was also worth it for the convenience. One thing I loved about this hotel is how close it is to everything. It’s only about 15 minutes from SJU airport, so getting there was quick and easy. Old San Juan is a short Uber ride away, and La Placita is nearby if you want nightlife or food. I also highly recommend taking a quick Uber (about 15 minutes, around $10) to Loíza for more authentic Puerto Rican food and culture instead of paying resort or tourist prices. There’s also a convenience store right across the street and restaurants within"

"Front desk agent weren’t friendly or inviting. Our room was above the Main Street and we had 3 night of no sleep because we could hear motorcycles, cars, people, trucks, you name it. Gym was unequipped. The levent restaurant was the only thing we enjoyed. The staff was incredible there. "

"Not good customer service at all not welcome at front desk /breakfast area has to wait for ever the employees looks like not happy to work there and they don’t even look at you. Pool amazing ant the guys works there amazing housekeeping the same and the coffee shop forgot to order there a totally lock of greeting and the girl there horrible and we pay a lot for that reservation an my family we has like 5 rooms all of us same complaint and the guy checking the bracelets at pool kind of rude please take care of this because we love the amenities too sad this time A "

"Rooms could use a good deep clean, carpet Included. The carpet turned my white socks brown. They need carpet cleansr to come thru. No robes or slippers, or any thing extra for that matter, in the rooms. Bartenders and servers were great. Not sure I'd return. "
