"We booked hotel Rex last minute so we could just wake up and hop on the train in Lucca. It had everything we needed but no extras. I would only spend one night here. Breakfast was extremely basic and needed to get better coffee at the cafe across the street. But over all room was clean and quiet."

"A very good hotel. Well maintained and looked after. Staff friendly and efficient. Modern, clean and comfortable. Only issue is that itโ€™s a ten minute walk into the city of Lucca, but not a big deal if youโ€™re mobile. Would recommend."

"Compared with hotels in Asia, the amenities here are relatively basic, as slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are not provided. My only other observation is that the bathroom is not completely sealed off from the room, unlike what you typically find in hotels in Asia. As a result, sounds from the bathroom can be heard quite clearly in the room, which can be slightly uncomfortable. Also the position where the shower head located is not ideal. I wet the whole floor on my first shower!"
