"We had an okay stay till the hotel charged us extra due to them messing up the charges upon check in. Instead of them calling Hotels.com and rectifying their mistake with them. They charged my card for incidentals and then asked me to call Hotels.com and get reimbursed for it. So I had to take time out of my vacation to go do their mess, and that was not a quick phone call. The breakfast was mediocre, not a whole lot of healthy choices to choose from. The pool was nasty so I got the net and cleaned it so the kids could swim. The hotel needs maintenance badly. The entry way and the floors were nice. Showers, sinks, and walls need some TLC. We will not be back here. Will try one of the other hotels in town next time."

"Rooms blinds would open close or block out sign on 24/7 outside. No blackout curtains at all. Giant room with no place to sit but beds. Property is old and not maintained. Zero money has been used to repair since it was probably built. Employees were nice but stuck with management that obviously doesn’t care about them or the location. Sad. You expect more from Hampton Inn"

"I had forget my debit card after an extremely stressful roadtrip. I freaked out when staff advised me they needed a card on file for the deposit. I think the staff member saw I was stressed and exhausted- she reassured me everything was okay and waived the fee provided by I promised I wouldn’t smoke in the room (not a smoker anyways). Then she upgraded us to a king suite for the same price just because they were “slow”. I’m going to be coming to bay city quite a bit in the coming months; and I’m definitely going to spend my money here every single time. Clean hotel, friendly staff. Perfect stay."

"Key card problems. My card would not work the whole time I was there(2 nights). The city lost water pressure for a few hours. Breakfast was pretty bare bones. Elevator was out of service. Waiting for a part. The smoke detector in the breakfast area needed a new battery. It beeps every minute. The staff was very polite and tried to be helpful but the property needs a lot of work."
