Thank you very much to the receptionist Val, who was super helpful with accommodations. We loved our room #84, parking was a bit confusing and she helped us figure it out. She is awesome and the hotel is great. Wished the pools and sauna were a bit warmer.

Such a special hotel in one of the most gorgeous cities we’ve ever visited. Staying in a hotel built right into the cave made our whole experience in Matera feel even more incredible. Everything about it was breathtaking and unique, and it was definitely worth the stay. The spa in the basement was also such a nice bonus — especially after walking up and down all those hills! We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Location was great. Disappointed in the thermal baths…they were barely lukewarm. Was hoping for more of a hot springs experience. Seems the Roman Termae don’t heat the pools like I am accustomed to. So not their fault. Room was nice and the showers were hot! The view from our room was stunning. Breakfast was nice too.

the place was absolutely beautiful, and the views were simply amazing. We had our own restaurant outside our room (a patio table and we got our own wine and snacks and had an awesome view). Highly recommend and central to everything.
