"First off, the staff made this a first class experience right from the start. Before experiencing anything with the rooms or property we were given a very friendly and inviting greeting by the staff helping us with luggage, pouring us hot apple cider, and generally just a very warm welcome.
The spa was so nice and the design was so luxurious I felt like royalty in Rome or Greece. Our group definitely took advantage of every aspect of the spa! What a great service and it's hard to believe it's included with the rooms.
Maybe the best fish and chips I've ever had. We got everything from fish and chips, to salmon, steak, beef stew and other items. All very very good. Breakfast was great too!
Jason in the Monk's Lounge bar truly took pride in his work, just a bummer he wasn't there 24/7 because he's a character and made it very entertaining. Jerry was also a shining star in the Monk's Lounge. One of the nicest people I've ever met and he always remembered us and told us how happy he was to see us again. I don't recall the names of the others in Monk's Lounge as their names were harder to pronounce but I believe Alex and the lady working as a waiter several of the evenings we were there really treated us well.
Shauna, I believe was her name at the front desk was so incredibly helpful. She allowed us to extend our stay in the same room after moving things around.
Management and staff should be proud of their incredible work! Lovely place! We'll be back!"
