"We loved the character of the hotel, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The elevator was broken, but they had staff that volunteered to help with luggage. I was disappointed not to be able to use the old style elevator. Parking is not an issue as the parking garage is behind the hotel. There is parking for unloading right at the entrance.
If you don’t appreciate the character of an historic hotel, this probably isn’t for you, but I loved it. I might not stay here in the heat of the summer because the rooms have window AC and I am not sure how adequate they would be in the heat.
The bar tender in Lobby lounge was very friendly and seemed to visit with everyone. He shared a lot history of the town and hotel.
