"We were a bit disappointed because the hotel description on hotels.com said the pool would be open in April, but when we checked in we were told that it wouldn't be open until May. The outside pool was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel - my daughter was really looking forward to playing in the pool. I wish the description online had been revised to mention that the pool would be open only after memorial day. "

"The room keys don’t work well. I had to have 5 different room keys made and even the desk clerk could not get my door to open. He had to put me in a different room. Only 1 out of the 2 room keys for the second room worked, and I had to slide it in and out several times to get it to work. The breakfast was not very good. The hair dryer did not work. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only other thing this hotel has going for it is location. Very convenient to state fair grounds, PNC arena, NCSU football stadium, NCSU vet school."

"We chose this hotel over another location from the same chain that was 35 minutes closer to the people we were visiting—and $300 cheaper—because this one advertised a hot tub. That one feature was the entire reason for booking here. Unfortunately, it never worked once during our four-night stay. Every single morning I asked the front desk about it. Every single time I was told it would be turned on. It never was. By the final night, the manager actually tried to tell me it had been working but had “cooled off” and that we must have “missed it.” That’s simply not true. We checked repeatedly throughout each day. At no point was it operational. To make matters worse, the breakfast situation was equally disappointing. Food was placed into chafing dishes straight from the refrigerator, ice cold, and left to slowly warm up. Not only is that unappetizing, it raises serious concerns about basic food safety practices. We paid a premium for a specific amenity and were met with empty promises, poor management accountability, and questionable standards overall. There are better options within the same brand—save your money and your frustration."

"Everything clean and seems new. Reasonable valet prices with easy parking access in hotel. Great breakfast with all the staples, fresh juices, good coffee, and on our stay a burrito bar. Fancy elevators that come quickly. Clean with nicely configured suites."

"I think this is a great hotel for someone who's not looking for a lot of frills. I was on a business trip and wanted a peaceful no frills room to relax after being at conference all day. This is just that. great staff very friendly and willing to make your stay comfortable. the hotel is an older building but very well maintained and the extras they add in the room is a nice touch. Such as stocking the fridge with minimal drinks, providing drinking water, coffee snacks. The bathroom soaps and lotion is also nice."
