Beautiful hotel. Our room was so comfortable, romantic, spacious and ckean and the bed was very comfortable. We upgraded to the room with a patio and hot tub and was woeth every penny. Perfect relaxation to be able to sit in tbr hot tub and see the views over central Malta. We ate in the Michelin restaurant and had the tasting menu. Food was excellent and the service outstanding. The staff in Xara Palace were exceptional - very attentive without being intrusive, helpful, polite and friendly. Probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at and wpuld highky recommend

Genuinely the best service we have ever experienced from a Hotel. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Dinner at The de Mondion was exceptional. Highly recommend staying in her to enjoy Mdina at night after the crowds leave.

Very friendly check in and reception. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast from great look out point. Set right in the ancient city which is great but made parking a challenge (park in free city lots/street). Breakfast was a slight let down for this price point. Service could be slow, forgetting items. Overall concept rather fussy with lots of served small items rather than choice/buffet. Also it grates to have paid a significant B&B rate only to be charged top up amounts for cooked items like eggs Benedict. Food in in house Trattoria restaurant is ok rather than excellent (you are paying a location premium) I’d suggest eating in Rabat

Overall, it was a very positive experience. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Moreover, even the in-room dining was very good. The room is very nice and spacious. One missing detail was the iron and ironing board.

The staff was exceptional, especially with the excellent efforts to help arrange tours, transportation and wine tastings. More than anything (setting aside the excellent, unique, location and restaurant), the staff helpfulness was most appreciated.

Beautiful historic building in a quiet location once the day trippers had departed the town. Excellent, friendly and discrete service from well-informed staff. Our in room telephones were not working and were fixed the next day.

The staff are exceptionally to say the least- my only criticism is that Mdina can be done in a day- good to show how you can keep this brilliant hotel as a base for exploring Malta- although should have asked this before and the brilliant staff would have stepped up.
