"Our two-night stay went well. The room was neat, tidy, and well furnished. We even had the opportunity to eat at the hotel lobby restaurant, although the menu was a limited one. The price for our room was reasonable enough, although slightly-higher-than-warranted for the central Maine location. If we had one area of criticism, it would be parking situation, which is meager and rather untenable when there's a scheduled "event" in the area. (We had to park across the street.). All in all, however, we found the facility to be much better than another location we've stayed at in Auburn in the past, and, for that reason, it remains our first pick when visiting."
"Great way station when we travel. Convenient and quiet location, great staff, dog friendly, great hot water, comfortable beds, good sized rooms, very good breakfast, and excellent coffee."
"Property is beautiful, well maintained. It is also a wedding venue. We were there during the week just before wedding season started. Owner present and very friendly and helpful with all needs. We ere there for 2 breakfasts which were both good but would have been happier if they werent both syrup types. If one was egg based Like quiche it would have been nice.
Place convenient to small town, quaint.
Room was small but attached to porch which was delightful. Would definitely recommend."
"The room was clean; the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well thought out and maintained by a friendly hostess. The suite setting was quite helpful for our four night stay. We took advantage of the kitchen setup that included a full size refrigerator, pans, dishes and utensils. The only drawback was some light maintenance that was needed in the bathroom of our suite."
"The lack of adequate parking at this facility is a joke. Extremely limited in the front, with the alternative out back of the hotel a whole floor lower than the check in area. Poor design.
In addition, I booked through hotels.com and when I checked out the clerk said because I didn’t book direct with the hotel he could not generate a receipt. Not true. I’ve booked many hotels through hotels.com and always get a receipt. Also, I asked if he could at least tell me the amount of my bill and he said he didn’t have that either. Really? For a guest that was checking out? Poor customer service."
"Key card would not work several time locking us out during the entire stay. Nobody would pick up the phone at the front desk. Had to personally go find somebody at midnight. Reprogrammed three different sets of keys and none of them worked. Bathroom had mold also. Will be contacting a manager about a refund. Will never stay here again."
