"The hotel needs an upgrade. While the hotel was practically empty.. I was put on the 3rd floor. The gentleman desk clerk the first night was excellent. Extremely helpful and addressed everyone with a smile. The second night. The woman desk clerk was rude.. never asked if I needed anything… my keys had to be reprogrammed and she made me feel like I was bothering her. Not to mention she parked in the handicap parking space closest to the door. No handicap sticker or plate. And it was a rainy night. The bed was clean but worn. Shower was clean but disorganized?"

"We went to our room and there was a strong musty smell. We asked for a different room. Staff was accommodating, and polite, and found another room for us. This room had a mild musty smell. We gave up and just stayed there. It never improved during the 3 days, even though we ran the ac constantly. Breakfast is good, as long as you get there early. They don't refill anything during the last hour. So if they are busy it will be empty. If they are slow, it will be dried out. This includes waffle mix, bread, muffins, yogurt, everything. I have stayed there 4 different times, 3+ days each time, over the last three years. They have gone from excellent, to good, to okay. We won't be staying here when we are back in the fall."

"Blythewood plantation is a wonderful historic mansion set in a small quaint excellent town. Lloyd met all of our needs, the room was clean, and all furnishings were correct for the time period that the home was built. The grounds were well maintained, we even got the pleasure of witnessing a gorgeous wedding during our stay!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to step out of the hustle and bustle of modern times and take a trip to a much simpler day and time!!!!"

"Love to park outside my room. Perfectly clean and quiet. Ice machine and laundry around the corner from our room. Woke to the birds singing in the trees which line the back of the facility. LOVED THIS PLACE! Would stay again anytime!"
