Our stay did not match the expectations set by the listing. The apartment was extremely dusty throughout, including the blinds, surfaces, even closet hangers, light switches, lamps and air-conditioning units. The AC/heating unit in the bedroom did not work at all, and the unit in the living room was so dusty that we could not use it due to dust sensitivities. As a result, climate control was very limited, and the living space was uncomfortable to use.
Basic guest supplies were also insufficient. Shampoo and soaps ran out during our stay, and there was no replacement offered and also the brand/type of handsoap, shampoo in the space was those very low standard brands. We were provided with only one bath towel per guest and were told that additional towels would only be available if we paid for a mid-stay cleaning, which cost several hundred dollars. Because of this, I had to purchase my own towel, which is not something I’ve ever had to do at a stay before.
Parking was another major issue. The listing stated that parking was included, and the host initially told us that we could park in the building’s designated parking space. After we had already parked there, we were then informed that there would be a daily parking fee. When I requested reimbursement we were told if we had parked other than the building parking perhaps they would have considered a refund which makes no sense. The host has not gotten back to us about any of the refund or discount for our stay.
