Easter weekend may not have been the best weekend to go to Melbourne as for Pan Pacific Iโm not quite sure how it got itโs 5 star rating. Between the surcharges, taxes, GST and merchant service fees that cost a fortune that wasnโt worth the 4 nights there. The hotel doesnโt have their own hotel parking, I paid $59 for valet to drive the car to the shared parking with convention centre and DFO customers. I had to phone reception twice on 2 seperate occasions for fresh towels and one day even stopped a staff member in the corridor requesting fresh towels during our 4 night stay. The room wasnโt even serviced daily. This I had to request via a phone call. Room service had very limited things on the menu for dinner however on a positive note the food was pleasant. Linen was only changed once in the 4 days which came with long, black hair on it, that definitely wasnโt mine. When showering I had to keep adjusting the water temperature as it kept changing to cold or very hot. The bathroom also had no fan and no spa. The tv worked when it wanted to. It allowed you to stream from Netflix but then would stop midway through and you would have to turn the tv off then on for the movie to start again. The location was difficult to get into as it was right next to DFO and the convention centre where cars constantly blocked the roundabout and intersection to the enter in and out of where the hotel was located. The hotel didnโt have a pool or day spa facility available and only one restaurant
