"This place is a hidden gem. Tucked away in the hillside far away from the hustle of a town however close enough to go to the beaches and local tavernas. They staff are excellent always welcoming, the rooms were clean and we booked a suite with a private pool this was amazing. We loved the privacy and the fantastic view over the hills. "From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a very welcoming host. He was always available whenever we had questions. The villa was absolutely beautiful and spotless, and the pool quickly became the kids’ best friend throughout the holiday. The old town of Rethymno was just a 20-minute drive away. All in all, a perfect stay – Alexandros was the man with the big smile and always ready to help."

Peninsula Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"Great experience! Food was very tasty!"

The Royal Senses Resort & Spa Crete, Curio Collection Hilton

8/10 Good

"Entry to the Hilton hotel was met with the customary sit down (welcome drinks, towels, a run through of the map and facilities of the hotel) which was nice Reception staff was friendly as expected which is a requirement for front office staff. This was offset by a couple of pretty angry and rude buggy drivers. Nevertheless, doesn’t change our impression of the hotel too much. The hotel had many pools which would have been great in peak summer with lots of"

Seaside A Lifestyle Resort All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"Enjoyed this being all inclusive even though it is only the buffet meals without alternative options. The buffet menu did change a little for the 5 meals we had. Weather was horrendous so unfortunately the stay was mostly indoors and inside the resort. Didn’t manage to use any of the outdoor pools or facilities. The hotel had a good gym for hotel standard which came in handy during poor weather. Staff was friendly and our buggy driver was a chatty funny guy. Free selection of beverages (non alcoholic and alcoholic) as part of the all inclusive stay will be welcomed by many. Do wish to see more alternative restaurants and cuisines being included as part of an all inclusive package. Nevertheless, was enjoyable enough of a stay. Fair to say it’s better than the other hotel we stayed at in Crete"

Mary Hotel & Mary Royal Suites

10/10 Excellent

"Amazing service, clean delightful little Boutique hotel. Breakfast was simple but delicious and plenty of choice - the eating area was amazing. Partially alfresco, chilled and bright. Room was fantastic and as an avid gym go-er, it was great to have decent weights and kit selection on site. Plenty to do a morning workout session in which is exactly what I wanted for my mini break. I travelled solo and I felt really looked after and comfortable. Buses into Reythmo old town easy to get and frequent making it accessible without any hassle."

Grecotel Plaza Beach House

10/10 Excellent

"We booked a room at the last minute. There will a little mix up upon arrival but the hotel upgraded us and bought us dinner to compensate us. Honestly, there was no need. The hotel was fabulous and the staff could not have been friendlier. The beach area was perfect and exactly what we wanted during our time in Greece. Rethymno is a lovely town and not nearly as busy as Chania, which made a huge difference. We would definitely go back to this hotel."
