"Staff on duty was no help at all re: bus to Nice airport, but we happily sorted it out. That bus stops on the street above the hotel, perfect. We had a decent sized balcony facing street, not as interesting as beach side but nice to sit out. Bed, pillows and linen were great. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants area. Very nice to walk along the boardwalk. Make use of the common lounge area on 4th floor and up a narrow stairwell. Gorgeous and calming."

"Limited checkin time, we had to wait half an hour outside because staff was late. Great location just by the ocean, but the beach is 15 mins walk away. Very small room but has everything needed. Underground parking is super tight and hard to park. Maintenance person was constantly fixing things…Not many dining options in this small town but the sandy beach is surprisingly soft and clean, much better than Nice. Train station is nearby so quite convenient to travel to other cities. The room is facing the road and the door has little soundproof. Super friendly staff overall."

"The location was excellent right across the street from the beach, beautiful sunrise, and sunset. The breakfast included is fantastic, great way to start your morning - unlimited with a large variety to choose from. I would suggest not booking a room on the street side, it’s very noisy and difficult to sleep with the traffic, and garbage pick up early. Unfortunately, when we were there, the air-conditioning was not working, it was unbearable. The hotel was full but they did manage to upgrade us to a beautiful ocean view room. I would recommend this location."

"Lots to like about this hotel. The staff were great, hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Coffee maker , kettle , tea, coffee and a small free mini bar are very nice extras as well as a coffee and cakes available every afternoon in reception.The breakfast was extra but good value. We had a room with a balcony / sea view which was lovely- it's just very noisy sitting out as the hotel is on the main road . With the windows shut however you can hardly hear any noise . Parking is provided at a cost ( 25 euros per day on site or 15 euros in a secure car park 5 minutes walk away)- I think you would need to pre book in high season. The hotel is just on the outskirts of Menton so a mile to the Centre and maybe 2 miles to the old town which is lovely. Lots of restaurants in the centre and on the promenade along the route. We enjoyed l'avenue in particular. The only slight issue we had was that the room smelled of cigarette smoke on arrival - the staff thought it may be due to people smoking on nearby balconies? It wasn't pleasant but the staff offered sprays for the room etc and it faded after a few days but as smoking is allowed on balconies , if people leave doors open it may drift into the room. The hairdryer is also rubbish so if you need one I would take your own. Again the very helpful staff lent me one for a few days. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it ."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Good welcome. Clean room. Lovely view especially from the balcony. Great location with bus stops in either direction. Good Mediterranean breakfast. Menton larger than expected so would come back to this hotel again."

"We loved our stay here. The hotel is characterful and in a great location, very close to the station. There's a lovely outside area where you can take your breakfast. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Most of all the manager and his mother were extremely helpful and friendly."
