Clean room, large bathroom, well situated. I didn’t try the pool as it was very shaded and not the most inviting. Gym was small but served its purpose. Most of the hotel staff were lovely though we did encounter some people who weren’t so helpful. We would return.

In one of the best areas of Merida. Lovely walk along the 60th avenue to the main square. Very comfy bed and quiet at night. The staff was very professional and polite, Gioana at the reception desk was exceptionally kind and helpful always.

Our stay could not have been any better ... Our room was spacious and clean and housekeeping was very attentive to our needs providing clean towels and other amenities daily ... Every member of the hotel staff we interacted with was amazing always personable ... courteous and helpful ... My wife and I recently had an incredible stay at Villa Mercedes Merida. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the exceptional cleanliness and upkeep of the property. The staff were fantastic, always ready to assist with smiles and professionalism. The valet service deserves special mention for being exceedingly informative and helpful, truly the best we’ve experienced. The breakfast was another highlight, earning a solid five stars for its variety and quality. Villa Mercedes Merida is a must-book hotel, and we cannot wait to return on our next visit. Its just simply not a 5 star experience at all. The facade of the building is worn The lobby is too dark Te staff at the front desk doesnt welcome you like a 5 star hotel should. The pool is freezing and not super clean. That's a fantastic set of details! You've provided the **pillars of a truly excellent hotel experience**: service, dining, and convenience. The true heart of this hotel is the incredible staff. They were **super attentive** without being intrusive, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. The **valet service was particularly excellent**—always prompt, professional, and greeting us with a smile, which made coming and going seamless. It's clear that the entire team takes pride in providing top-tier hospitality. We rarely dine exclusively at the hotel restaurant, but the on-site eatery was so magnificent that we ate there two nights in a row! The **food was excellent**, and the atmosphere was lovely. Equally impressive was the bar, which was absolutely **on point**. The bartenders were skilled mixologists who crafted perfect drinks, making it the ideal spot for a nightcap.

I recently stayed at Villa Mercedes Curio Collection by Hilton and overall the experience was okay. The common areas and amenities appear to have been recently remodeled, which gives the hotel a modern and more upscale look. The lobby and shared spaces feel refreshed and inviting. However, the guest rooms do not reflect the same level of renovation. The furniture feels outdated and could benefit from a full refresh. The blinds in my room were visibly dirty and had signs of mold, which was disappointing. The minibar was also not functioning properly during my stay. Housekeeping standards could be improved, as bed linens were not changed daily. While this may be part of a sustainability policy, it was not clearly communicated. The pool area has potential, but it is located in a shaded section of the property, which keeps the water very cold. Even in a tropical destination like Mérida, the pool was not comfortable to use. Investing in a pool heater would significantly enhance the guest experience. In summary, while the hotel has attractive remodeled amenities and a good overall foundation, the rooms and some maintenance details need attention to match the level of the public areas.
