"Our stay at Mangata Villas in San Pedro was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Communication before and during our stay was excellent — responsive, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. When one of our pieces of luggage didn’t arrive, the team immediately offered help in any way they could, which really put us at ease. The casita itself was extremely comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained. It was well appointed with everything we needed for a longer stay, and it felt fresh and welcoming the moment we arrived. You can tell cleanliness and attention to detail are a priority here. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming — from check-in to check-out. The amenities truly made this a restful and relaxing stay: the pool, lounge chairs, games, and the Moon Bar all added to the experience. The Moon Bar deserves a special mention — the pizza was amazing and very fairly priced, making it a great spot to unwind. We would absolutely stay at Mangata Villas again and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Ambergris Caye. A perfect blend of comfort, service, and relaxation. "

"I spent a week at Belizean Shores to celebrate a milestone birthday and it was everything I was hoping for. I loved how clean and spacious the suites were with lots of room to spread out and relax. It was great to be just steps from the beach and the fabulous pool with the swim-up bar, relaxing hot tub, and the comfy lounge beds. The staff was incredibly welcoming and responsive and promptly took care of anything we needed. Note that it is located on the northern part of the island where there aren’t many amenities so you’ll need to drive about 20 minutes to get to town but this didn’t bother us much and we enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely book here again if we come back. "

"We had a wonderful time at Portofino and we’re already planning our next stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They all know your name by the first day and are genuinely happy to have a conversation with you. The resort was beautiful, the rooms were great sizes and private. We loved hanging out by the pool and walking along the beach. The tour company on the dock was incredible as well and very flexible to your needs and schedule. We enjoyed the smaller and quieter feel you get when staying up north. The resort is about a 35 minute drive from San Pedro, but that was a plus for us. The hotel offers pick up and drop off to the airport and will help you rent a golf cart or call a taxi. They made it very easy for us to explore and get around the island. Portofino provided one of the best hospitality experiences we’ve ever had and we can’t wait to return. "
