"I booked the hotel for thirty days and ended leaving after 4 days. The pictures may look pretty and filtered, and the name sounds wonderful. But the experience was not, this place should be named Eden Encampment. How this is labeled as a 3 star hotel is beyond me. This is at most a 1 star hotel on its best day. "Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented. "We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located within walking distance of all the major spots. The hotel also offers a trolley service to the beach, and for other destinations, transportation is available for a small fee, which was very convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I appreciated the laundry service, enjoyed spending time by the pool, and felt well taken care of throughout my stay. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a DJ, which created a great first impression and set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. "I had a wonderful stay at Ycona Resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff attended to our every need and made us feel truly cared for. The manager, Claudia, along with Omar, were especially outstanding—both were incredibly helpful in facilitating all of our plans and were always flexible and accommodating. They even helped arrange romantic activities on-site, which made our stay extra special. The villas were spotless and cleaned daily, which added greatly to our comfort. This ended up being one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar. Anything that wasn’t readily available at the resort was seamlessly arranged by bringing someone in from town, making it feel like there was almost no need to leave the property at all. An unforgettable experience from start to finish."
