3rd time staying here. Itā€™s a good option and close to everything. We had a room at the back so it was quiet. The 24hr reception is good. The only downside is that the rooms are not huge and there are no tea/ coffee facilities but you can request a small kettle at reception. Good value for money and would stay again.

This hotel is right on the coastal road between Malaga and Marbella. It is, however, quiet. Being in La Cala de Mijas it has loads of restaurants within a few minutes walk, and is a 5 minute walk to the very nice seafront.

The hotel is small & sits on the edge of La Cala, so everything is very accessible. The staff make this hotel too, they were so friendly. The hotel is very clean. I would say, itā€™s a very good place to stay as a base. We would definitely go back. Thank you for a lovely time.

We wanted a two night stay in La Cala de Mijas and we knew the location of the Carmen Hotel. We arrived early and asked if we could leave our bags and the gentleman on reception was very friendly and said we could check in at the same time and our room would be ready a little later which was fine. Our room was spacious and very clean. We had breakfast both mornings which were cooked on request and was very tasty. Would certainly recommend to family & friends.

It was central, comfy beds, clean, lovely staff Downside - very noisy due to being next to highway, only toast, juice and tea for breakfast, no other choice. If you wanted cooked breakfast had to pay more. Rooms very small and wi-fi almost non existent.

To be a newly built hotel, the reception looked sadly old -fashioned. I lacked the opportunity to make coffee and tea in the room, especially as the breakfast cafƩ first opened at 8.30. I emailed to the reception but never got any answer.
