"This quaint family-owned motel reminded me of the motels we stayed in in Florida pre- Disneyworld. The owner gave us the room that had been his father’s favorite because it felt like being in a bird’s nest, so we had an incredible view of the Kachemak Bay and Mountains.
The room was clean, the bed comfy, the hot water and water pressure abundant, and the amenities included a fridge, microwave, coffeepot and coffee – everything I need in a room.
The only downside was that of the 9 places we have stayed in during our Alaska vacation, this was the only one that didn’t have blackout curtains. Instead, it had plastic mini-blinds like those popular in the 80s. So with 3 windows and a patio door in the land of the midnight sun, sleeping was a challenge, even with eye masks."
"This place is ideally located on edge of town. Very quiet, very clean and comfortable. Have stayed here before and would be happy to stay here again. You won't be disappointed if your looking for reasonable priced place to stay."
"This specific property was booked for our stay because it lists under amenities "complimentary shuttle service" - airport shuttle and around the area shuttle service. This was not available during our stay. We had a weekend stay. Reportedly this service is available only on week days and possibly only during specific hours. Front desk offered to hail taxi service and provided taxi contact numbers. Without shuttle service the location felt isolated. We incurred multiple unexpected taxi fees. Some restaurants were within walking distance. The Spit and town interests required transportation (4-10 mikes one way).
The staff was friendly. The property was clean, quiet, and adequate. Breakfast offering was well supplied."
"It rests between the Homer Spit and the city of Homer. The room was clean and it was modern.
It could use some sound proofing between rooms. I know way to much of my neighbors business."
"Marie was an excellent host and wealth of knowledge as to what to see,do,and eat while in Homer. And her breakfasts were spectacular!! Loved the homemade fresh jams, jellies, and syrups.
The room and restroom was spacious and clean. Probably the best view from the deck balcony that we have seen in a number of years.
We highly recommend the Majestic B&B for the perfect stay while in Homer, Alaska."
