"We were absolutely thrilled with the apartment. It was amazing—so cute and incredibly well equipped! Everything felt new and thoughtfully designed, making it a wonderful base for our trip. The location couldn't be more perfect. We had private parking, and the apartment is right on the doorstep of all the shops and restaurants, plus it was only a few minutes' walk to the lake. "Rating is more specific to hotels.com listing details, not the actual space. Note that hotels.com incorrectly shows the location on the map, house is actually over an hour walk from the center of Windermere. Further, hotels.com inaccurately details free WiFi at the accommodation. Space itself is about as pictured. Very cosy, lovely garden, however did quite aggressively smell of wet dog and conservatory had some spiders/cobwebs. "

"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

"Fabulous few days here. We stayed in a four poster suite with lake view and it was perfect. The room was spacious with a seating area to view the lake and all the activity on it. The bathroom was great, with the choice of a standing free bath and a modern shower with excellent rain water experience. The bed was extra large and so comfortable with soft pillows and duvet. Plenty of tea, coffee and Kendal mint cake to enjoy a cuppa in the room. The bar and restaurant were excellent. Happy with the choices for the breakfast buffet. We ate in the restaurant each evening and was really happy with the quality and presentation of the food - thanks for good chefs! For a light meal, we recommend the halloumi chips and the bbq sticky chicken. All the hardworking staff we met from cleaners, bar, waiting, reception were very friendly and made you feel welcome. All were great ambassadors for the hotel! Would recommend to anyone; and we will return ourselves!"

"We at the Whitewater for 2 nights B&B & we couldnt fault the value - yes it may be a bit dated but it just added to the charm - stunning location - staff were absolutely amazing - friendly - helpful - welcoming- nothing too much trouble - the food was delicious do try Dollies as it was great- give the chef a pay rise because our evening meal was fantastic !!! I’d definitely come back here - beds comfortable- rooms spacious and clean - so quiet and peaceful / we loved it !"

"Cracking hotel for the price friendly staff the heating in the room was on it was clean free tea coffee yeah could do with a bit of a make over the buffet breakfast was good bacon sausage bean ect was just help yourself Davey Jones's locker is a good pub cheap and the Moroccan ower is great guy the kinda of bar owner you meet in a bar on holiday I would definitely go back again "
