"It’s 100% worth the time and effort to get there. The staff at La Terrazas de Dana treat you like family. The hospitality and food were outstanding! Special shout out to Marco!"

"There was plenty of birds and trails.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
The food was unexpectedly great.
The road getting up to the reserve is a little rocky/bumpy but thats literally the only concern everything else was amazing."

"This lodge is located off the beaten track. It takes about 20 min to get here from Mindo on a narrow dirt road. The accommodation is basic but nice. Staff is small but very attentive. My cabin was spacious with one queen sized bed and three single beds (two of them in a loft). Nature around the lodge is beautiful."

"this is for the adventerous, dont get scare on the way there the roads are a little rough due to the hotel still being developed. Chef Marcelo is a plus for this hotel and Sol as well. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful."

"I honestly choose a resort, but I accidentally choose this area. However, I would recommend for those who are low budget travelers but who are willing to take a break and rest in their amazing hot springs. They do have hiking trail, but it is the best not to go in the midst of rain. You will slip and get yourself all muddy. I learn that that hard way. You can walk around the town, but honestly, there is not too much to see aside from the church and cemenetry. The church had an interestingsaint...

"I sort of breathed a sigh of relief when I walked into the lobby of Hotel Finlandia. Because of the mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what standard it was being judged by. Now I understand.
My first room was pretty rough. It was on the front corner of the building near two noisy streets across from a condo with three dogs who started barking at 3:30 in the morning. The room itself had not been updated since the 80s and had a king sized bed made up of two twins pushed together. The whole thing was uncomfortable.
When I asked to be moved to a quieter room, I was put in a newly remodeled room toward the back of the hotel next to the office building on the other side with a real queen sized bed and heavy linens. It was like an entirely different hotel and I slept like a baby. So, go ahead and book this hotel, but ask for a quiet room away from the street and next to the office building next door.
The nicer restaurant is severely overpriced. The more regular restauran with ice cream is more reasonable, but still quite a bit more expensive than you will pay around the corner at the mall with a lot of choices.
The large park, La Carolina, is a nice place to explore, completely safe during the day, and has quite a bit of exercise equipment.
It seems that they don't answer their Contact Us email, so email the reservation desk instead to arrange your transfer from the hotel."
"Excelente lugar, el personal muy atento a todo. El desayuno muy bueno. Las instalaciones impecables y la zona de piscina muy bonita. La ubicación es muy buena porque está cerca del centro de mindo y también junto al río principal."
