9.6/10 Exceptional! (292 reviews)
My wife and I stayed at the Elizabeth Hotel from September 17th -22nd. This was my first trip to Rome, so I was looking for an incredible experience in the heart of the city. The hotel was everything I wanted plus more. It is located a short 5 minute walk to the Piazza Del Popolo, the starting point of our two tours to Pompeii and Tuscany. The hotel is located on a side street, so we heard none of the neighborhood activity after a long day exploring the city. From the moment the doorman opened the door for upon arrival until he loaded our luggage into our car for the return trip to the airport, everything at the hotel was excellent. Our "suite" had a nice size living room with a fridge to store cold beverages. The bedroom was roomy a very comfortable king bed. The bath room was spacious and very modern. Breakfast (included) was served either inside or on a rooftop patio and offered a wide variety of delicious food. The French Toast was outstanding as was the homemade granola with yogurt and fruit. The floor plan itself was intriguing as we discovered nooks and alcoves at every turn. The library offered a quiet place to relax. The staff at the hotel was superb with friendly smiles greeting us at every encounter. Special mention to Thomas and Julianna at the front desk for their extraordinary help with restaurant and gelato recommendations, and their willingness to jump on the phone to help (in rapid fire Italian) with any snafus in our travel plans. They were outstanding.

Not even a proper lock on the door and the windows could be opened from outside so absolutely NOT secure at all!!!! The entire place needs a complete overhaul. Would not recommend, unless very ..."

"We were up hunting Wednesday-Friday. Thursday morning we left the room 6 am and returned at 5 pm. Our room door was open and lights on in the room. Housekeeping left our door latch over so it was open per the front desk when I notified them about the door being open. No Housekeeping done - bed not ..."
