"Clean room, very comfortable bed and pillows. Convenient location with many nearby restaurants. Safe area. Parking is very convenient. I stay here every time i need a room when traveling to west texas. "
"Let me start off with the cons.
As sons as we pulled up we were hesitant. Going through the parking lot there were two guys outside with dogs on leashes coming weed.
We go in and check in. Entire hotel is under construction. We were checking in with my family and asked if there was a possibility of being roomed next to each other. They have a walking disability, but we’re reassured. There was an elevator. We land on the third floor. It is under construction. The elevator was not working by Sunday. When we arrived it took like two minutes to get to the floor. 3rd floor. So having a handicap person trying to take the stairs was a nightmare plus lugging the luggage down.
Let’s talk about cleanliness. This hotel is filthy. If your going to allow pets then you better have an a game on cleaning crew. There was dog hair on the floors of check in, mud and gunk in elevator that was never cleaned in the three days we were there and the rooms were disgusting. My daughter‘s white socks were brown within 30 minutes. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. In both rooms.
There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. I definitely needed to have the rooms sprayed for bugs. We did not see bedbugs, but we did see spiders. The flooring in the bathroom and tile was cracked in multiple areas catching our daughter’s toe and cutting it completely open. I get it. They can’t help when people break things, but it’s just simple maintenance that needed to be done. "
"Friendly staff. The rooms are dated and can do a better job with the cleaning. The rooms across the hall from the meeting rooms are horrible for resting and sleeping. There is so much noise at night making it difficult to get a good nights sleep. "
"Room was very clean and very spacious. Bed was comfortable and loved the fluffy pillows. Nice view from roof top. The only problem we had was with the TV remote. Just couldn’t change the channels correctly. It could have just been the people using it.lol We loved our stay! Would stay again. "
"The decision to stay at Magpie Inn for our getaway was the absolute best decision we could have made. Everything, and I do mean everything, was the confirmation of our dream to have a restful time together. The location was close to downtown Mineral Wells. We actually just walked to the main street through town. At the Magpie Inn, there was not one thing lacking physically and mentally. The owners, Jeremy and Magen, have such a magical aura about them. The food was absolute perfection. Our room was ready for our stay. The cleanliness, decor and the bed, illuminated warmth and comfort. This couple knows how to run their establishment and their efforts are obvious to their guests. "
