"Another enjoyable stay at Darwin. The room was spotless and had a comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Thereโs a honesty bar where you can help yourself to drinks and snacks and pay on departure. The hotel is very close to the town centre where there are lots of eating places to choose from. We parked on the St Julienโs Friars carpark which is reasonable priced and just round the corner from the hotel. Would definitely recommend here."

"Lovely hotel, beautiful clean room. Evening meal in restaurant was excellent, bar area with lots of sofas to relax on. Good choice at breakfast and staff were helpful and friendly. Great stay."

"The hotel is charming and in an excellent location for exploring Shrewsbury. The room was very comfortable. As the hotel is in a very old building you need to be aware of steps and slopes in the floor and the stairs are quite steep (no lift). The bar is good, and the food we had at both dinner and breakfast was of a very high quality. The hotel has a small car park, with quite a narrow entrance. We were fine getting in, but, in any case there is plenty of reasonably priced parking not far away. The hotel is close to the river and we would also recommend visiting the prison! The staff were friendly and helpful."

"Lovely location in the middle of the beautiful Shropshire countryside, ideal for touring (which is what I was doing). Large pub with extensive menu and large garden. They even had a family fun event taking place in the glorious sunshine. Breakfast cooked to order - excellent. Would stay again if I ever venture that way again."
