Check-in was quick and efficient. Elevator was having problems, so that was a little concerning. Hotel decor was lovely: old timey photos of Miskolc around the hallways. And the room was nice, with a short view of the surrounding rooftops. Good location from main street and train station.

Midt i byen i Miskolc.

Good for a stopover

The hotel was easy to find and nice to stopover for a night. A little bit outdated, but well kept. Nice to use the sauna as well.

Walkable to many restaurants, friendly staff, nice room and close to city center. The trolly stops nearby (5 minute walk) and you are easily able to get to the train for Lillafürad in 30 minutes. Loved it!

The entire hotel is empty. Yet, we decided to move in the loudest crew right next to my room. The walls are paper thin. It was awful. Do not stay here

Lovely hotel. Although it's in an older building, the interior spec is bang up to date. The reception staff were all charming (especially Adele), the room was great, shower was hot and the reakfast was better than expected although don't leave it until late otherwise you'll just get the leftovers. I ate in the Restaurant one night and it was excellent. The mushroom soup in particular was undoubtedly the best I've ever had. I wouldn't hesitate to book the Öreg Miskolcz again.

Good value, good location

The staff was courteous, professional, prompt, and helpful. The hotel is in good, well maintained, but dated condition. Noises from outside the room easily heard is a bit disruptive. Did not try breakfast or other meal service.
