Our stay at the Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs was made truly special by the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely committed to making sure guests had a great experience. The team was always happy to answer questions, offer recommendations, and help with anything we needed. What stood out most was their kindness and personal touch. It's clear they take pride in creating a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel more like family than a customer. Whether at the front desk, in the restaurant, or around the property, every staff member we encountered was professional, attentive, and sincerely caring.

Please know there is no Wifi or cable TV service in the rooms before arriving. It was a surprise for us. The DVD selection is good for room entertainment. Otherwise, the next door restaurant food was excellent as well the next door Hot Spring was good.

Liked location Parking lot was terrible shape. Lighting poor, especially where we're specifically told where to park....weird. Bathroom heater did not work. Was a rusted up base board heater. Should gave removed / replaced a long time ago. Poor door securtity, simple household door knows. No hallway exterior locked door. Inner hall door propped open with rock / door closer need fixed. Breakfast was minimal. Normally warm food in other motels was b in fridge, subsequently leading to line for a single microwave. Way over priced for was presented. Days Inn in down the road in Lolo is a much better overall experience at a much lower cost. Outdoor steps into the rental room group were close to rotten wood, not painted pr stained. Overall, pretty much a ghetto experience. We would have left if we didn't have a nonrefundable Expedia reservation. Expedia, you need to offer option to cancel/ rebook if a property turns out to be terrible. Also, Expedia, you should vett your offered motel / hotels better. We won't be back.

So I paid $241 for a room when I got there I found out that there was no food except for TV dinners because their bar and Grill is closed for the winter hours which was not disclosed. There was no service whatsoever so I couldn’t call anybody which is fine for the most part but things were not kept clean or up-to-date. It was very hard because it’s out of the way and if I would’ve known that, there was gonna be no food or water available I would’ve been able to bring something not to mention that’s a lot of money for something that I really wasn’t able to get much use out of with the hotel. I literally paid $241 for a bed to sleep in. That was it :(and just so you know not only is there no cell service but there’s no TV available you have to pick from DVDs no food no water…..

The last time we were here was ‘98 and the room we stayed in this time (single queen lodge) was absolutely gross! Nothings been updated. The bed-you roll to the middle, stuff on the main comforter and underneath, I put my beach towel and blanket on the bed/pillow (3 flat pancakes)to sleep, hair in the fridge, toilet/shower area had hair on the floor. My husband found a toenail next to the toilet , puke! Said the restaurant was closed 2 of the days we were going to be there so we brought food to use the bbqs! Oh wait- they are only charcoal and there was a burn ban. If we could have used charcoal it’s 30 miles away to get it. And don’t forget, the Lodge isn’t affiliated with Lolo Hot springs- heard that several times, we get it but you’re in the same parking lot, you’d think they’d have some info! Stayed 3 nights (unfortunately) and never got one offer to clean or take the trash, that you have to walk away to dump yourself. Staff said they would be cleaning that evening but never heard anything from them. Continental breakfast- would have been decent if there would have been anything available. We honestly don’t need the BEST hotel but we paid almost $200 a night and SO disappointed, staff just shrugged their shoulders and said “we’re a staff of 5…” Won’t ever go back unfortunately:/

The staff were good. Confusing check in tho. Went into bar/restaurant and was sent across the street. That office was closed and I was sent to the pool. The staff there sent me to the lodge office. This would have been easier if I was sent there in the first place.

No phone or internet service. Cellphones didn’t have service. Shower head was detached and on toilet tank. Flimsy door locking system. Information about the actual hot springs water content not written on board. Took over 30 minutes to find the person to check us in. We kept using the directions to contact staff but they didn’t take the phone with them, so the system to check in didn’t work. This could be a great destination with an effort from their maintenance and desk staff.

This was honestly a bit of a disappointment for us. The room was somewhat rundown, and in dire need of a good cleaning. Dead bugs, cobwebs, dirt. The indoor hot springs were a nice feature - but there wasn't much else to do, and you can only spend so much time sitting in hot water. There wasn't any cell service, or wifi - only entertainment available were DVD's you could borrow at the front desk. That actually wasn't a problem for us; but would be if you needed connectivity during your trip/stay. If/when I'm in the area again, I'll probably look for a place down in the town of Lolo or Missoula.

We got the king bed room with the mountain view ($297). The room was large and faced the mountain which was about 15' to 20' out the door, but at least it wasn't a view of the parking lot. No cell service and lousy Wi-Fi and no tv reception so plan to disconnect (which was a good thing). The desk has plenty of DVD's for movie watching though. The "breakfast" that comes with the room is lacking. Mostly odds and ends of kinda pastries, bagels and fruit with a waffle machine. We went next door to the bar and grill (not part of the lodge) for breakfast. The hot springs that is part of the hotel were two tiled rectangular indoor pools you could sit in. One was 102 degrees the 104 degrees. It was okay but not the "hot springs" feel I was anticipating. More like large hot tubs at a hotel feel.

The customer service was terrible. I made a reservation for two nights but then called and cancelled the first night. When we got there the next day they said I never canceled the first night which I for sure did and they gave our room away and charged me $300! And they were rude about it.

To provide some context, I am no stranger to roughing it. I have stayed in remote locations without running water, electricity, or linen, so I am always prepared for a rustic experience when that is what I book. However, booking a room at The Lodge at Lolo Hot Springs did not prepare my family for what we actually encountered. At the time of booking, basic comforts were advertised that any guest would reasonably expect to be available: AC, a working fridge, functioning toilets, Wi-Fi, and enough beds for the entire party. > Unfortunately, our room fell incredibly short. One of the beds was broken, the fridge was completely warm and moldy, the toilet would not flush, and the AC was entirely useless. > What made it worse was the customer service. When I brought these issues to the front desk, I was met with disdain. There was an unsettling sense that the staff knew they had us trapped, given that the closest alternative accommodations are at least a few hours away. > When paying $300 a night, there is a baseline of service and comfort that should be provided, and this was not it. My advice to ownership is simple: prep and inspect your rooms before guests arrive, clean and service your AC units, and be transparent about potential issues. Summers are getting hotter, and if you continue to charge these rates without maintaining the property, the bad reviews will only keep coming.

To be honest it is old and in need of a few repairs. Our cabin was ok but really needed to be dusted. Went to the bar for dinner and ordered a lemon drop martini and when we received it there was only vodka and a wedge of lemon. Ordered a glass of lemonade and it again was just watered down. I am taking this as an adventure that we will not repeat.
