"I am more than halfway through driving the route 66 from California to Illinois. This was a gem of a place. I arrived late in the evening called the number posted on the door and a very nice person. Gave me instructions about getting in my room. I booked through Expedia, but was dealing with a small roadside motel. It was so nice to have the individual interaction. The room was clean and everything was great on my drive. I will stay here again if I’m going through the area."

"Since we ordered the room on Orbitz, we did not know until we got there. The pool was not working. You go to Texas you expect to have a pool. When I asked him about it, "well you saw that on the website" is what I was told. They got into our room. The TV was not working. I travel around the world and around the country and I have never been in a hotel that did not have room darkening blinds that could close. This room had only shears that close and there were lots of lights shining in from outside. Went to breakfast Saturday morning there was nothing left and the person filling up Breakfast was very slow.. We were in a time crunch and had no time to wait. In just about about every hotel I visit, I feel welcome, I did not feel welcome there. It's almost like an imposition to even be there. The TV went out a second time while we were in the room. We went to Pampa for a graduation and we had planned to hang out in the pool during the weekend and we could not. My nephew and his family lives there and I plan to visit more often.. Both needs at the top sink form and I did not sleep well at all.. I will never stay there again.."
