"Unfortunately room 618 is quite small. The refrigerator did not work. No air conditioner was available even though the temperature was warm. Hotel staff informed that winter rules applied for April. We had to open the windows and the street noise, including the train noise could be heard. We are regular customers of NH Hotels and this experience was extremely dissapointing. "

"Employees were really helpful, loved the little touches like the bottle of cava in the room and the free 90mins in the spa - though find it weird you have to wear a swimming cap! "

"Muy muy limpio, la condición del lobby excelente. Pero los cuartos ya están un poco viejos y desgastados. La cama muy cómoda aunque las almohadas un poco planas. Algo que esperaba encontrar era una cafetera o tetera para hacer té o café. El desayuno buffet excelente y muy rico, diario lo mismo pero la calidad excelente 100% vale comprarlo. El personal excelente desde concierge, limpieza y restaurante. 100% nos quedamos otra vez ahí. "

"Hotel Akelarre We chose this hotel for one of the most important moments of our lives, as I proposed to my partner during our stay, so the bar was incredibly high. After researching many of the best 5-star hotels across Europe, Hotel Akelarre stood out immediately and exceeded every expectation. The setting is truly special. Located in the peaceful Igueldo countryside, you feel completely removed from the world, yet you are only a short drive from San Sebastián. Waking up to uninterrupted views over the Bay of Biscay, with nothing but birds and distant cowbells, is something we will never forget. The design is exceptional, with a beautiful modern and minimal style that blends seamlessly into the landscape. Every detail feels intentional, from the materials and lighting to the layout of the spaces. Our room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with a huge bed, luxurious bathroom, and breathtaking views. Breakfast was the best we have ever had, with high-quality local ingredients and excellent made-to-order dishes. The spa was also a highlight, offering a calm and relaxing space with incredible views. Service was warm, professional, and attentive throughout. A special thank you to Mikel for helping coordinate such an important moment for us. If I had one small note, it would be that cocktail options were slightly limited compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, this is a truly special hotel and perfect for a memorable stay or special occasion."

"All was good plenty of parking don't know if its safe as its very open just luck i suppose. Not impressed with the breakfast not much choice any food that was supposed to be hot was cold no microwave, the bacon was not cooked along with the tomatoes (they were the only hot food offered) "

"The hotel is being used for the council for conflictive families. Man smoking smelly herbs in the main door. It was not pleasant. It is a real shame since it is a great location and the room itself, and service were great. U just want feel safe to stay/sleep."
