"We loved it here, had a a good couple of nights with friends. Beautiful apartment, amazing mattresses and pillows, very quiet environment. The pool wasn’t open and some work was happening but you can tell it’s going to look amazing once they put it all together and summer prep work is expected at this time of year. Kara was fab and we met a super helpful housekeeper who is doing a degree who was a literal walking tourist information centre. Great atmosphere all round ."

"Not the apartment I was expecting but very nice nonetheless - had expected ground floor apartment as travelling with older relative who has some mobility issues - access via very steep stairs. We were lucky with street parking but this could be an issue, probably best to book parking with landlord for extra cost. Older relative would have appreciated non-slip mat in shower. "Property was nice enough, location good and the pub opposite was lovely. The company that run the property though are terrible. Sykes Cottages trying to scam us out of money for property damage that is unreasonable and without evidence. They send a message via their website that has no way of responding to except for Whatsapp. But no one monitors or replies via whatsapp. "

"Hotel lovely, bar service needs improvement both evenings we had to wait ages for service then he would disappear again no atmosphere either and very expensive, then we were charged a fee for bringing our drinks to our table on top of service which we didn’t see at check out! All other aspects of the hotel were good although very creaky floorboards but that cannot be helped in such an old building Staff were very friendly Doreen at breakfast was very friendly and kept everything ship shape We upgraded to a premium room which was worth it with beautiful views and a very large room, mattress needs updating as dipped in the middle Overall a lovely stay "
