"Even though I am not handicapped, I was given a handicapped room, which was no problem. The entry door was dragging on the carpet making it difficult to open. This would not normally be an issue for a non-handicapped room but an actual handicapped person would struggle to open the door. It really did take a considerable force to get it open. I mentioned this to the management.
The in-room refrigerator is a compact model that does not have auto defrost. The frost buildup was so bad that closing the door was tricky. I did not mention this to the management.
I did use the swimming pool. It is indoors and was very well kept and clean. This pool is really meant for kids, not adults like myself. I normally swim in very deep water so when I tried to get out at the shallow end, I stubbed my middle toe on the bottom. That's my bad not the facility.
The room was clean and the TV worked. The hair dryer mounting had been pulled from the wall so it was placed over the towel rack. I had no issue using it but the mounting base hung from the cord while I was using it.
The bed was comfortable with lots of blankets.
The breakfast was self serve consisting of: hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, orange juice, milk, yogurt, and hot waffles with butter and syrup, They also had hot biscuits and gravy, which I did not have. You can eat either indoors or outside on an elevated deck.
This motel served my need and if I am ever in West Union again, I will re-book without hesitation."
"It is just a bit difficult to find as there is a motel right on the road in front of it - we went in there and were redirected to the building behind that one.
Other than that, a fine stay."
"Front desk staff do it all but do it well. Kept up with breakfast and keeping everything stocked. Breakfast had a good selection. Nice place for the price."
"A perfect location tucked back away from traffic and noise. Convenient off-street parking. The property and amenities are wonderful!! The decks, fire pit, hot tub, grills, lighting, and atmosphere are amazing!! Randy was easy to work with and answered questions before you had to ask!. Highly recommend!!"
