"I read a review that suggested the rooms were 'dated', and that matches our experience. Closet doors were removed, the bolts for shower cutain rod were falling out, the sofa-bed mattress was well used. Worse however, it seems like the staff are used to that standard. It took three calls to get a complete set of bedding for the sofa bed, and when we finally got sheets, they were damp. Other complications were met with a shrug and 'oh that's too bad'."

"I usually stay at the Cambridge when traveling to Halifax. But I found this recent trip to be especially bad. The property was not nearly as clean as the past, the bed condition was horrible, and staff were much less accommodating. I will be staying somewhere else next time I am in Halifax. "

"The heater was stuck on during our stay so it was almost 30 degrees in the room at all times in march when it’s below 0 outside, even with the thermostat set to cool and then eventually off altogether. The windows didn’t have screens so we didn’t want to leave them open too far incase of animals and the air conditioner did not work well enough to cool the room at all. We left early. "

"The place was very clean, and they had lots of options incase you needed anything. However my family went swimming at 9pm (the pool closes at 10pm) and there were no towels. We went and asked for towels so we wouldn't have to drip through the hotel wet, from the worker and she said "yeah I'm not getting any new towels," and she walked away from us. So we had to walk wet through the hotel and it wasn't just us that were in there without towels. We also had a to endure the smell of cigarettes in our room because the person beside our room decided to smoke in their room and there were not repercussions. "

"We stayed the night for a March staycation so it served its purpose. Our room was not ready at check-in and I had to state multiple times I had a pet even though I booked a pet room and called the day before. They said the room was late due to it being inspected for cleaning but when we got to the room we discovered someone’s pjs and wrappers on the floor and in the drawers. Our fridge was leaking and the bathroom door didn’t close all the way. We did not bring these issues up as we only stayed for the night and left early morning. It looked like the hotel was booked up, so we left it but unfortunate and left feedback directly to the hotel too. "

"If you want to go into a construction site from the 80's, this is the place. We only rented there because we had no clue how bad the place looked like. We were awaken by the roof pigeons... we stayed one night and left.."
