The staff went out of their way to help with whatever we needed, including help with a rental car issue. The restaurant dinner was very high quality. The family connection with the winery made for a very enjoyable stay. It featured a wine made from grapes of a varietal thought to be extinct but was rescued when its roots were discovered in a cave. The wine Tizza was probably the best I have ever had the chance to enjoy!

We stayed two nights at Villa Ambra and were very pleased with all the amenities including full restaurant, excellent breakfast and very convenient and comfortable rooms. The owner and family gave great advice on places to visit in the nearby towns including Montipulciano and also arranged a tour and tasting of a winery owned by the hotels family.

so very cold in the autumn

We stayed in the apartments in October. It was so cold. It was possible to heat the rooms but not the living room and kitchen. I am sure it is nice in the summer but not now. The breakfast was great and the people at the front desk was very nice.
