Views are spectacular. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can walk to everything you might want to. Only downside is the sea lions barking at night.

I loved the lady and staff that checked us in. Sea gulls were a little loud by our room but hey that's the ocean Loved everything. Staff was awesome, rooms were beautiful. Planning to come back and stay this summer

This was a lovely place to rest our heads for an evening! The location is incredibly convenient, walking distance from both a beach and the tourist center. Just be prepared to pay for parking on top of paying for the room. We street parked since we were there only briefly, but otherwise, it's pretty necessary to park at the hotel. Breakfast was simple but nice and delivered right to our room! The view was stunning.

The room was very dated. The bathroom had slow drains for both the sink and shower and there was little to no hot water. I actually left before I took a shower because the water never got hot enough. The room was comfortable but the hot water was a huge issue for me.

We had a harbor view. Loved our view. We had easy access to the cannery rows, restaurant and the wharf. Everything was walking distance. However, we had trouble locking and opening our sliding door to our balcony. That should get fixed.

I honestly can't understand the positive reviews this hotel has. Our stay was awful, the building is old and not in a charming way visible cracks in the walls, chipped/stained furniture etc. The main selling point it's balcony with a view of the ocean was nice BUT they neglected to sound proof the sliding glass door. The sound of seagulls is nice at first but quickly becomes a noisy nuisance when they're right outside squawking all night. They said the room had a king bed, it was a queen. The fold out couch bed was uncomfortable and the beds were itchy we felt like things were crawling on us at night. The hot tubs were mediocre and cramped. Overall I wish we had stayed just down the street at the much nicer and larger hotel with the large lobby and built in restaurant (you know the one I'm talking about) I wouldn't recommend staying at the Monterey Bay inn.

While the hotel is a little dated, it was clean and comfortable. The room we had was well appointed with a great view of the marina. Parking was easy and check in quick and seamless.

Love our stay, the room was really nice and very clean. We opted for the harbor view room that faces the shore which was really cool, but I wish we could of been a few doors down (more towards the water, less towards the street) there were a lot of rooms in that section and we were pretty close to the street. But honestly it still had a great view (got to see the sunrise too!) I just think the lady who checked us in stuck us where she stuck us and that was it. We checked in about 45 min early too which was a relief for us honestly. Ate dinner at the chart house around the corner, and it was amazing. Over all we want to go back but get ocean view next time!

Harbor view is gorgeous. We left our balcony door open to hear the waves all night. Lovely, light, room service breakfast was included. Ocean-view Hot tub on the 4th floor was the best!

Very disappointed! Expedia was booked at a price & upon checked in / out prices were different than reserved under. I asked Karla why & no real response given so I decided to deal with it later. I booked the King bed Balcony, Harbor View Oceanfront the best they had, we were there to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday. No fireplace as listed in the pictures. Toilet leaked & flooded the bathroom upon first use, and no - no one "blew up" the toilet, a simple tinkle only. My slippers & socks were soaked! We had to switch rooms & when notified the Front desk Person was not surprised it flooded! Karla Promised a bottle of champagne, I declined as we don't drink, she offered box of chocolate & we never received it.

Very nice and clean to be an older hotel! Always can improve on parking don’t think you should pay for parking if you’re a guest that was the only downside!
