"Had a very enjoyable stay at this property. It was quiet, comfortable, and friendly. A nice boardwalk walk into town, and a great refuge for a few days of quiet by the pool and beach. The property could use modernization: the decor is tired and there was only one electrical outlet in my unit (for toaster, kettle, living room lamp, and phone charging). Very awkward. but this was a minor irritant."

"The hotel has some old charm and is managed beautifully with modern adaptations. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the room and facilities are great. Despite previous reviews, we had no issues with parking or locality; managing to park street-side daily and less than 100m from the front door. "We had a nice stay at the Wyndham. Upon arrival we were greeted nicely and helped by front desk staff. Even though our room was on the first floor we had to walk up a flight of 7 stairs to get to our room. There was no elevator but they did have bellhop service if you wanted it. The room was clean and large. The bathroom set up is not a separate room. There is a small toilet stall with door next to a small shower stall with door both of which face into the bedroom. Both were very small and hard to negotiate for a larger person. We had a hard time figuring out how to manage lights in room and needed staff to come down and show us how to turn off lights in closet that shine into bedroom for sleeping. It would have been helpful if bellhop had shown us all of this upon arrival instead of figuring it out later. We ate breakfast at the breakfast buffet which had a nice variety and food was fresh and tasty. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We used the pool bar which was nice but took a while to get drinks even when it was not very busy. The pool was nice looking but too cold to enjoy for us. We tried to get to the beach but it was a long walk that was not very well marked and gave up trying to get there. We did not find it very walkable to things and were glad we had a car. Parking was good and was not hard to find a spot. Overall I think it was expensive and I would not pay that much to stay at this hotel again."

"Loved the pool at the resort and the close proximity to the ponta da Piedade walkway. We walked to Lagos on the beautiful walkway and to the beaches Praia de Dona Ana and stairs to a grotto. Stunning cliff views from the walkway. Staff were so lovely they saw it was my birthday and surprised me with a cake and bubbly wine, I was so touched. Great birthday visit 😊"
