The room that we chose was not we booked for but fine for a reason. The food and the staff was very great and so hospitable and accommodating in all ways. We love to stay again if opportunity arises.

Nice bright rooms with great views. Room was small but very well designed, so we felt comfortable. The staff was great. They have a few breakfast options to choose from. Food was made and served with care. That homemade jam was to die for. No microwave or refrigerator or hairdryer- but I am pretty sure staff would have helped if we needed any of that. Easy walk to the town.

The staff is great, breakfast is delicious, and the location is walking distance to the "downtown" area. I appreciated the staff putting together a to-go breakfast for us because we had an activity that would cause us to miss breakfast. The laundry service was quick and affordable ($6/kg). The only downside is hearing the motorbikes and wind at night.

Modern well appointed hotel. Friendly welcome at reception. Lovely rooms looking across to the Cloud Forest. A good breakfast is only meal provided at the hotel though there are drinks (both non alcoholic and non alcoholic) available and coffee is on tap. There are plenty of good restaurants in St Elena a short walk away. The Dutch couple managing the Corazon were very forthcoming and interesting in explaining the ethos of the hotel and the way it seeks to integrate with the community and share its amenities. Uber’s are scarce though the hotel sorted a taxi to the Cloud Forest 8KCRC and at the other end a “greeter” sorted out the return 7KCRC. Thoroughly enjoyed our albeit short 2 night stay at the Corazon.

Golden nugget in the jungle of Monteverde.

Our stay was wonderful, management staff was extraordinary. Customer service was excellent. Breakfast was very refreshing with a wide selection of fresh fruit. I would highly recommend this hotel for both couples and family excursions.

We loved everything about Hotel Con Crazon. The Hotel was beautiful. Loved their mission. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The managers were very friendly. Breakfast was good and fresh! The only reason it did not get 5 stars is that with slight knee issue … there was no elevator; had to climb up and down a lot of steps. Good workout though. Lol! But really recommend!

Hotel con Corazón truly has a purpose in the Santa Elena community! We were warmly welcomed by the managers, who introduced us to their inspiring project — and we absolutely loved it. The hotel opened this year and is very well located, close to shops, supermarkets and restaurants! Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated in a minimalist style, with a comfortable bed and a powerful shower. Breakfast menu had 5-6 options and it was delicious, and coffee and tea were available at the restaurant throughout the day. There’s no AC, as the mountain weather is naturally cool, but the room had a ceiling fan. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and highly recommend Hotel con Corazón if you’re planning to visit the Monteverde Cloud Forest!

Don’t think twice about this place !! Just book it ! This hotel is not your regular hotel. It’s very special and unique. In a nutshell this hotel is home away from home. I felt like I was on vacation with family. Really! Loved being there. They truly do everything with heart— from warm breakfast, laundry and their mission, Con Corazon is the place to be in Monteverde!! Rooms are very cozy and squeaky clean! Great location, very close to town; ~5-10minutes walk. Every one of the staff members are super friendly, caring and professional especially Alejandra ! She’s very knowledgeable and can give you great recommendations! If you’re not a planner like me, don’t worry, Alejandra can help plan an itinerary for you. Just pack your bags and come; they’ll take good care of you! Pura Vida !

Lovely brand new hotel on a hillside overlooking the main center of Santa Elena. Beautiful clean rooms with clean water and bathrooms, new construction, 5 minute walk to town. The hosts are lovely and welcoming, providing advice to guests on all sorts of things. Communal breakfast in the morning is great too! Most of all, this property is run by a non-profit that supports children's education, so it's great to contribute to the cause by staying here.

This hotel was perfect for our needs! We needed a room for 3 people and the king bed and twin were perfect and they provided a cute pack and play for the baby as well! The room and bathroom were very clean and spotless and given it’s a newer hotel, all the furniture, plugs and location of conveniences were properly designed. The shower had nice hot water and great water pressure! The staff was very welcoming and extremely nice. The included breakfast had good options for our party of 6 to have a favorite to choose. The location is very close to town and the only compliant is the noise that travels from the town. We all still slept well and they provided earplugs that came in handy! We would definitely stay here when we return to Monteverde.

Exceptional Stay

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Corazon in Monte Verde. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome by giving us a tour of the hotel and telling us the story of how the hotel came to be. Every team member we interacted with were friendly and attentive. We felt at home. The room was spotless, spacious, modern, clean/new linens, the bed was very comfortable. There was no TV in the room which forced us to go and explore the town. The breakfast was yummy. The location was hard to find from the main road but it's understandable because is a new hotel. Going to town was easy, just went down a staired hill. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Monte Verde.
