We had a great stay at Valle Escondido. Our room was very clean and the view was great. We got to see a lot of wildlife right by the building we were in because the resort was less busy in the rainy season, and we got lucky with the weather. We really enjoyed our night hike on the trails on the property - only wish it were longer! Overall, a great stay. Food was good although variety is a bit limited in the off season.

This is a very nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Restaurant food was very good. It's away from town you definitely need a car or taxi to ride into town if you want to walk around. But trails at hotel were quite wonderful. Facility is beautiful, restaurant is very good, service impeccable

Gorgeous location and views from both the room and the restaurant. The hiking trails are very nice and well maintained. Recommend doing the night walk! The staff are also incredibly helpful and will help you with the best options for booking tours in Monteverde.

This place is a gem. Having beautiful trails through rainforest on the property was magical. The permaculture integration of design, function, and the natural world was inspiring - and also made for incredibly fresh and tasty meals. The view from our room balcony was breathtaking - I didn’t even have to get dressed to go birdwatching first thing in the morning. And there were so many areas for children to play. The concierge service was fantastic - they book tours not only on the property, but also in the protected areas nearby.
