5. Pultheley Cottage

Montgomery

"The property was as beautiful as it was in the pictures with lovely grounds and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately though, the outside of the property was swarming with wasps so unable to keep doors and windows open and nor could you fully relax in the hot tub. My partner got stung on the first night. Also there was a trap in the corner of the bedroom which made us feel uneasy sleeping at night. Top Montgomery Hotel Reviews

The Lion Hotel Shrewsbury

10/10 Excellent

"I was very happy staying in this lovely old hotel. What it lacks in slick modern amenities is more than made up for by historical charm and friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended."

Prince Rupert Hotel

8/10 Good

"The location is excellent, right in the middle of town, great for exploring. Room was very basic and being honest, a bit smelly. But i just needed a bed for the night, so wasn't that bothered. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially the lady on reception. It was my first time in Shrewsbury for many years and without her guidance i would not have found the carpark. Thanks you. The breakfast the next morning was excellent and very needed after a long night!"
