"Upon arrival in the afternoon, the 1st floor hallway leading to my room reeked of an odor that I presume was of some type of cleaning agent/ chemical. The odor was also present in my room when I entered it the first time after arrival. I opened a window to air out the room. The room did not have a telephone. I reported it to the office. A lady in the office took note of it and said it would be remedied the next day. I also reported thar the desk lamp, although plugged in, was not working. No phone in the room really wasn’t an inconvenience. Mine was just an overnight stay and I had my cell phone with me. The room was otherwise satisfactory. It was a clean room at a relatively low price. It suited my need just fine. An “okay” room & service for the price."

"Great location a bit off interstate and between Mattoon and Charleston — just 10 minutes to Eastern Illinois University and IHSA state track meet. Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. I’m thinking of night desk clerk Jake and the nice lady who worked at breakfast last Saturday. Also a well-stocked bar in the lobby and a fire pit out front."

"Hot tub and pool area were nice. Addition of a sauna was great. Breakfast was a full warm breakfast consisting of egg omelet, bacon, biscuit & gravy as well as potatoes. Had other options such as cereal, yogurt and pastries as well as pancakes. Great value."

"The man at the desk was friendly, the room was clean, full size fridge, and beds were cozy. the only complaint I have is it seemed like it was a pretty shady area. There were lots of people outside the rooms. I just felt like there may not be a lot of privacy. but inside the room was different. it was very nice. I would go back."

"Overall, it was a clean, quiet place. It was the first time we stayed there. It looked like it was just remodeled. Everything was in like new condition, the has been painted and looked good. It's located really close to any kind of food you would want. We would stay again when I'm in the area."

"We stayed 2 nights. The room was great. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and professional. Kerrie B went above and beyond to help with a couple small issues. We could not use the pool, closed for cleaning. The breakfast was good at the restaurant. We couldn’t try dinner as it was Sunday so only limited bar food. We will definitely stay again."

"The manager Kerrie was wonderful! We had a couple issues that she did try to fix and even though she wasn’t able to, she did what she could. This is a wonderful place to stay, the staff was super friendly and we will stay again."
