"1st the bed and pillows were super and sooo comfortable guaranteeing an excellent sleep. The room (the lodge on the top floor) was great. The unique antiques you collected were very interesting. The shower was huge. The view high up in the trees lovely. Staff we met everywhere were very warm and friendly. Hubby thinks it would have been helpful if in the room, there was more information re the tv controls and the thermostat. The room was cool and we did put on the fireplace. The room seemed to get cooler when we opened the 3 big blinds. Luckily hubby found the thermostat after awhile and we were able to raise the heat in the room. At a lot of places we stayed at there was an information package on the desk - about local restaurants and places of interest. Fortunately we do come from that area and hubby found the wonderful Thai restaurant 2 blocks away. Yes the food was amazing there and we have eaten Thai food in Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brantford, and Stoney Creek. Their food was the best! (Krung Thep Thai Cuisine). We did get up early for the continental breakfast. Sorry that was the only shocking disappointment to both of us. Honestly it was mainly sugar from our younger hippy days. The Chatham Travelodge, and other places we have stayed had hot cereal (quick packages) and a waffle maker with syrup on the side, a toaster and cold hard boiled eggs. This was a better healthier yummier choice for us and our 4 children (young adults). You would be getting solid proten."
