"Fantastic property with everything you'd need, or thought you didn't need.... great hosts who were eager to make sure we'd settled in and had everything we needed or any help with suggestions for sight seeing (although great information book supplied). We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking. "great accommodation, close enough to local sights if you have a car,the area is beautiful,open fields, country lanes,quiet, good pub and restaurant 100 metres away,friendly people,what's not to like. "

"The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was freshly cooked to order. However, there was no bar or restaurant in the hotel and apparently all the nearby bars in Jedburgh close at 8pm! Luckily there was a fantastic Italian restaurant opposite which was superb so we ate well."

"The room was fantastic with a bay window high up overlooking the street. It was well furnished with a very comfortable bed and we had a great nights sleep. The only downside was the bathroom which was 'compact' (not really a problem) but the shower did not work well in that that it never got beyond just above cold and had a miserable trickle of water. We spoke to staff before leaving and they were appalled that this had happened and were going to get it looked at. Overall, very happy to stay there again."

"The hotel has a large car park. The rooms were clean and warm. The hotel was taylored more for eating. The meals were excellent and the bar closed early after meals were finished. There were no casual bar customers. Pleanty of bars close by. The area was very safe and comfortable to walk around at any time..Nice friendly staff."
