Super 8 by Wyndham Woods Cross/Salt Lake City North
6/10 Okay
"Staff was pleasant, considerate and provided good service. The room was clean and the heating / cooling was easy to maintain comfort. Parking was convenient with easy access.
There was soap in the room but no shampoo, conditioner, or lotion. One really negative is the so-called "breakfast." I'm really not sure how you can call highly processed packaged pastries breakfast. They must be the bottom of the line in quality in that kind of product. I would think that could be easily improved without breaking the budget. "
"The breakfast was not very good this time. The parking is off site and costs 10$. The hotel lobby is clean and nice but the room was just okay. The bathroom had a bunch of broken tiles and the shower head was broken. The lighting was terrible. There were a bunch of clothing items and dirty shoes under the bed. The elevator is terrifying and we were on the top floor. The temp in the room wouldn’t stay consistent and the AC was super loud and woke me up all night. The staff was very sweet and the location is great though."
"Very disappointed with our stay at Holiday Inn Express. The room was not clean upon arrival, and we found bugs near the bed, which was extremely concerning while traveling with a baby. We also noticed mildew/mold spots on the mattress, which made us feel very uncomfortable about the cleanliness and overall condition of the room.
When we brought these concerns up, we were told we would be credited for a free night due to the issues we experienced. Instead, we only received 1,000 IHG points, which does not come close to resolving the situation or matching what was promised.
I have also attempted to contact management multiple times to discuss the situation further and have yet to receive any response. The lack of communication and follow-through has been just as frustrating as the condition of the room itself.
Elevator was also out of service and we were on the 4th floor with a baby (not fun!)
We expected much better cleanliness, customer service, and accountability from a Holiday Inn Express."
"We arrived at the hotel on a Thursday and it seemed nice. I have 3 kids, so we immediately hit the pool. We were there maybe 5 min and were told we were being too loud. We were having fun, not being overly loud, it's a pool right? That kinda set the mood for our trip. The garbage outside of the doors were piled sky high, trash in the hallway corners and weren't changed until our last day, Sunday. Our room was also a little dirty, food in the fridge, dirty towel and food on the floor. We will probably not stay at this hotel again."
