The 🕍🕍 Church of San Peter, Paul & Stephen. Bellinzona 🇨🇭 Deserted Sunday streets and a pleasantly chilly breeze greeted me as I stepped out to explore a not so far off North of Switzerland 🇨🇭 from where I was stationed. Summer brings vacations and businesses are usually out, taking it easy. After the exciting train 🚆 ride, this city presented itself as a host of not one but three castles. As I walked down the empty streets, the first Piazza or square had this mammoth structure with a brilliant facade up front. If one follows the structure it leads to a tall Bell tower where an hourly tolling breaks the silent monotony of the land. The Piazza had shops where you could buy chocolates, water and newspapers! The castles were still way ahead and I couldn't invest more time here. Huge pain. Will use hotel next time for sure. Resort fee for an apartment with zero services is a deceptive money grab. Also the hoops required to process check in took over an hour. Nightmare.
