"Good location and wonderful views. Pool was great too. Air conditioning was a welcome relief. Two issues: 1. There are no towels for the pool- you have to bring your own or buy towels from the front desk. You could not get extra from housekeeping. Disappointing. 2. From the pictures, it appears that it is a hotel, but it’s not. It is more like a motel."
"A rather tired property but the room and bed were very clean. Decor and carpets are very tired but appear clean.
Big surprises were no drink making facilities in the room, no cup in the bathroom, a hideous shower arrangement over a tiny bath where the shower screen opens inwards over the bath leaving about 6” of space to climb through before struggling to close the screen. If you’re more than a 34” waist, best not to risk it.
There is an external fire escape from the 1st floor but the steps are covered in overgrown brambles - a really good trip hazard if you’re trying to flee a burning building. Would be closed down on this if in the UK.
I did not have breakfast.
All in all, ok but there are far better hotels for the same money or less."
"This hotel is on the outskirts of town in an area where many of the chain/budget hotels are located. It's easily accessible from the autoroute and had plenty of parking right outside. It's about a 10 minute stroll into the old town. In short a decent location.
Being brutally honest the exterior of the hotel looked a little tired and slightly scruffy. My heart didnt lift when I saw it, but it overall it was fine.
The interior and breakfast were a similar story. Perfectly ok, no more, it was ok.
We were travelling with our small dog and it was very dog friendly which perhaps some of the chain hotels are not. The location is good for dogs with plenty of walkable, nearby green spaces for them.
The receptionist we dealt with spoke perfect English.
To summarise, this is a conveniently located, reasonable hotel which is dog friendly."
"This stay was variably unremarkable [no complaints] and really good. Breakfast was varied, and choices were toward the upper end of what such a spread offered."
"Room is updated and bathroom as well. But really need an update on the carpet and doors to rooms. Staff are very nice. Great option for a quick night in Chalon sur Saone. Very cheap, but you get what you pay for. Price/quality is great"
